If you have Cloud Clipboard enabled, you can press Win + V to quickly check out. By default, the HEX value will be copied but you can change that on the settings page. Left-click your mouse copies the value right into the clipboard so you don’t have to memorize the color value. To start the tool, simply press Win + Shift + C, a color platter appears right next to the mouse pointer showing the color value of the color where the mouse pointer is. Then, open the PowerToy utility to enable it and sent the shortcut key combination, and start enjoying it. If you haven’t, let’s update the PowerToy to the latest release, at least v0.20.1 from its Download and Release page first. Now the resurrected PowerToys has a new toy, called ColorPicker, that does just like that. Simply run it, point to a color and it tells you the hex, RGB, HTML, CMYK, and HSV values of that color. A tool like Pixie is very useful if you do things like web design or development.

There is a lot of ‘splainin’ to do so that’s understandable, covering the many systems you need to know about takes time. From the outset it’s a game that’s more accessible than ever, though there is a heck of a lot of tutorial text to wade through in the early parts. Now that Monster Hunter Rise is here it’s worth looking at what makes it feel fresh. If you’ve been bitten by the Monster Hunter bug, chances are you’re going to get this game. Hub Quests are the real meat of Monster Hunter Rise, with the quests found in the Gathering Hub being more plentiful and offering much more challenge than their Village counterparts. Village Quests have always been the least difficult of the two types, but here, they really present no challenge to seasoned hunters through Rise’s relatively short story. If you’re a hunter who’s been at it a long time, though, hearing that Village Quests are so easy might not be such good news. Monster Hunter: Rise’s Village Quests are accessible to pretty much every skill level, and they are easier than those in Portable 3rd. I say this as someone who played Monster Hunter Portable 3rd a ton, which was the previous king of easy. If you’ve avoided the series all this time because of its supposed difficulty, you’ll be happy to hear Village Quests are some of the easiest in the entire series. Monster Hunter Rise’s hunts are split between Village Quests and Hub Quests, with the former only being available as a solo hunter and the latter available for online play. The game received generally positive reviews upon release. Rise follows many of the new conventions for the series introduced through World while introducing new features, including a new animal companion called a Palamute that can be used to ride across the map or into battle, and the use of Wirebugs to traverse the game world vertically and mount and ride certain monsters in the game. A Microsoft Windows version is currently in development and is planned for an early 2022 release. Monster Hunter Rise is an action role-playing game developed and published by Capcom for the Nintendo Switch. However, Free PDF Editor is a standalone piece of freeware that lets you create a PDF from scratch. Plenty of well-known PDF editors exist, such as Adobe Acrobat, PDFescape, and SmallPDF, with many other programs including the option to save files as a PDF. PDF (Portable Document Format) is one of the most common file types around, due to its versatility you can convert most files (from Word documents to images) into a PDF to reduce the size but retain quality. What I like more about KillApps is that it’s pretty simple to set up and use. Other than that, KillApps offers a Custom list where you can choose a list of apps and set rules to restrict them based on your preference.Īdditionally, the app reduces memory consumption and makes your smartphone fast and efficient. It basically means that you will be able to restrict battery-hogging services like Google Play Service to get longer battery life. And the best part is that it supports both third-party and system apps. You can permanently disable an app from running its services in the background and save battery life. As the name suggests, it allows you to close all the running apps by a simple tap. KillApps is one of the few app killer apps on the Play Store that seems to work well. Greenify is a great choice just for the fact that it lets you blacklist the background apps that you want to stop without disrupting the functionality of any other apps. The app gives you more control over which apps are allowed to run in the background when your phone is idle and in case you have a rooted device, you’ll have the opportunity to give Greenify even more control and improve battery life even further. Hibernating background apps also stops them from lagging your device, which can really be beneficial for low-end devices. Greenify is one of my go to apps whenever my device starts getting old and can’t really deliver the same battery life as before. For users on recent Android version (Android 6.0 Marshmallow and above), Greenify even comes with an Aggressive Doze Mode, which amps up the Doze Mode features built into Android to make them more effective. The app works to identify other apps that drain a significant chunk of your battery and then limits the time they can run in the background but putting them in a hibernation-like state, which leads to improved battery life and slightly smoother performance. Often claimed to be the best battery saver app for Android, Greenify is one of the best task killers for Android which doesn’t even claim to kill apps. Plus, you can make and manage your own presets, which intelligently adapt to each photo. Our adaptive interface lets you hide tools you don’t need while you work, allowing you to focus on your image. Some forms (all?) when you fill them out and print them have a bar of machine-readable gobbledygook on the page which lets the recipient of a printed pdf scan the data back in with 100% accuracy. It would be really neat if there were an app which could handle all that. I know that on Windows and Mac OS your adobe software can sign the pdf, but I don’t even know how that works exactly. At the moment I get them, print them, sign them and scan them back in to return to the sender. I need to sign pdfs, and sometimes fill out pdf forms which also need to be signed. However, the enquiry in the above-mentioned forum thread was not about designing PDF forms, it was about being able to complete existing PDF forms (including forms that have automatically-updating bar codes, and including being able to add a written signature to the form without printing it out): See the Adobe demonstration video Capture electronic data from printed forms. As forms usually have several fields, 2D bar code symbologies are used in order to be able to encode the amount of data in a practical way. In order to create PDF forms that contain automatically-updating bar codes it is necessary to purchase Adobe Acrobat DC or Adobe LiveCycle Designer, which are Windows-only applications. It is possible to create PDF forms with LibreOffice, although LibreOffice cannot create a form containing bar codes that get updated automatically with the information entered in fields on the form. A recent post in the Gentoo Forums made me interested to find out what is actually achievable with fillable PDF forms in Gentoo Linux and Windows 10 without being required to purchase a software licence, be it for personal or professional use, in order to be able to complete PDF forms (including forms that have automatically-updating bar codes). I suggested such features for reaper's media explorer, I still think it would be a cool feature in reaper to have, functionally similar to the standalone-apps others suggested in this thread but allowing basic ffmpeg or reaper processing on the files in a list. older video editors used to have associated programs which would function as "media manager" apps with batch filelists and a queue for this type of processing. I believe everyone using large-collections-of-media-files on a regular basis (like you are) should know the basics of shell commands like this, precisely in order to do transcoding operations with just a few keystrokes on any machine (no special app needed)ītw. (again hope no typos and the date format probably needs verification - reference "bash shell on osx") $ for f in `find /Volumes/Media/myproject -name "take-*.mp4" -after "Jun 1 2019" -print` do cp $f /Volumes/pendrive/$f done $ for f in (*.mp4) do (put your command here using $f as each filename) doneĪnd you can do more powerful things like feed one command into another one, like using the FIND command to find every mp4 on the entire drive for example with additional qualifications like filesize or file date. Yes it is similar on a mac which uses the Real Unix(tm) shell, except the command shell is a real language in itself, not a bunch of faked-pseudo-commands like in windows (msdos 2.0 really) if it is not, then you must know the location of the ffmpeg program and specify that full directory to it (or copy it to C:\data or add it to PATH which is not something I will explain in this msg) Note: this assumes ffmpeg is in your PATH so stupid junky windows knows what the command ffmpeg means. Extract an AAC-encoded audio track from an MP4 video file: ffmpeg sudo yum install ffmpeg. edit: here's a link to microsoft's help area where they explain more about their stupid junk shell's FOR command You can extract audio tracks (m4a, mp3, wav. hopefully I didnt make a typo because I dont use windows anymore.īy the way did i mention, windows is stupid junk. You can also type HELP FOR at the prompt I believe and it will tell you some tips. now you know how to do many file operations in a batch. (windows' stupid junk command shell, essentially unimproved from QDOS)Ĭ:\data> for %f in (*.mp4) do ffmpeg -i %f.mp4 -vn -c:a copy new/%f.m4a I'm pretty sure you can write a script for FFmpeg (or use it in some kind of script), but I've never done it and with only 88 files it would be easier just to jump-in and do it manually.
